About me

Dear friend...

My personal journey has been one of many colourful and fascinating experiences, and it is these experiences that both inspire and fuel my creativity, humanity, and spirituality; these essential and significant elements of my individuality are the constant backdrop to my role as a counsellor and a shaman. Educationally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree (graduated with honours) and a Master's degree in English Literature. I have also completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Culture and subsequently achieved a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy. Most recently I went back and completed practical aspect of a Masters in Gestalt Theory & Practice training, meaning I am now trained as a psychotherapist, but I prefer to refer to myself as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

Throughout my academic training, I took a keen interest and specialisation in the field of sexuality including cultural taboos and sexual dissidence, and during the course of my professional career, I have maintained an enthusiastic and devoted interest in human psychology. This interest has been a driving force throughout my many years of practical experience as a counsellor.

A several years ago I trained as a Shamanic Practitioner and continue to explore the Spiritual realm of my practice. I currently teach people to connect with their spirit guides and run weekly Journey Circles for people to strengthen their connection and perform healings for themselves and others. When spirit asked me to run a weekly group, I didn't think anyone would come, or certainly not that often - however - these groups have been running for seven and a half years now and remain well attended. Five years ago, I also started an apprenticeship with a Peruvian Shaman in the Amazon Jungle, working with the spirit energy of Mother Ayahuasca. The 5 months I have stayed in the jungle have been life changing and my work with Mother Ayahuasca is still in process.

My life's journey has been a tapestry woven with vibrant and captivating experiences that continually inspire and nurture my creativity, humanity, and spirituality. These integral facets of my identity serve as the enduring backdrop to my roles as both a counsellor and a shaman.

In terms of education, I proudly hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours, as well as a Master's degree in English Literature. Additionally, I've completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Culture and subsequently earned a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy. More recently, I immersed myself in the practical aspects of a Masters in Gestalt Theory & Practice training, officially becoming a trained psychotherapist. Despite this title, I prefer to identify myself as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

My academic journey was marked by a keen focus on the intricacies of sexuality, exploring cultural taboos and sexual dissidence. This specialization has seamlessly carried into my professional career, where I've maintained an unwavering passion for understanding human psychology throughout my years as a counsellor.

A decade ago, I embarked on a transformative journey as a Shamanic Practitioner, delving into the spiritual dimensions of my practice. Currently, I guide others in connecting with their spirit guides and host weekly Journey Circles to help individuals strengthen their spiritual connections and perform self-healing and healing for others. Initially hesitant about starting these weekly gatherings, they have now thrived for seven and a half years, consistently drawing engaged participants.

Six years ago, I initiated an apprenticeship with a Peruvian Shaman in the Amazon Jungle, focusing on working with the spiritual energy of Mother Ayahuasca. The six months spent in the jungle were profoundly transformative, and my ongoing work with Mother Ayahuasca continues to unfold.
